Northleach C of E Primary School is a caring, local school based on an ethos inspired by ‘We love, We give, We grow’, illustrating our core beliefs in being at the heart of the community, caring about all those around us and striving for the very best that we can be. The school enjoys a large, open site with the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul forming an impressive backdrop and the playing fields giving plenty of room for sports. Founded in 1874 and recently celebrating our 150-year anniversary, we retain at our core the Victorian Cotswold stone building, now accompanied by a large modern school hall, 5 modern digitally-equipped classrooms and a well-stocked library.

Northleach Playgroup

Northleach Playgroup is open to children between 2.5 years old and school age. Activities are designed to meet the Early Years Learning Goals specified in the National Curriculum Foundation Stage, and include sand and water play, painting and gluing, construction and table top toys and outdoor play. Each session includes snack and drink time where the whole group sit up at the table. We are registered to accept nursery education vouchers and each term parents receive a report on their child’s progress. We are keen to involve as many parents/carers as possible in the running of Northleach Playgroup.

Northleach School Association
Northleach School Association is a voluntary organisation made up of Parents and teachers whose aim is to provide some very necessary, as well as some ‘nice to have’ resources for the children.
The School Association is one way that the school gets involved with the local community, with many of our events appealing to a wider audience, and through the School Association, the community gives a lot to the school with the continuous generosity of local people and businesses.

Northleach lies within the priority catchment area for The Cotswold School, whcih is located in Bourton on the Water, 6 miles north of the town. School transport is provided. The Cotswold School is an outstanding 11-18 school that enjoys a superb reputation for academic success. It is a language and science Academy, and consistently ranks amongst the top comprehensive schools in the national league tables at both GCSE and A Level. Today there are approximately 1200 pupils in the school including 250 Sixth Form students.
